US maritime alert for ports in Yemen

Members are asked to take notice of the attached alert from the US. 

This is an ever changing situation and members should also request the latest port information from local port agents in country.

US Maritime Alert 2017-008A - Announced Temporary Port Closures - Yemeni Ports

A maritime situation has been reported in Yemen.  On November 6, 2017, the Saudi-led coalition announced the closure of all ports in Yemen until further notice.  There are reports that Aden and Mukalla ports are operational as of November 9, 2017.  See U.S. Maritime Advisory 2017-002 for additional information on this area.  Further updates will be provided when available.  This alert will automatically expire on November 16, 2017.  Any questions regarding this alert should be directed to MARSEC@state.gov.
