This entry covers potassium nitrate and potassium nitrate-based fertilizers. Homogenous mixtures containing potassium nitrate as the unique nitrate-containing ingredient. Non-friable prills or granules (white or red) with a minimum of 95% of the total sample mass equal to or larger than sieve size 1.0 mm, with a maximum of 2.5% of the total sample mass in between sieve sizes 0.85 mm and 1.0 mm, and with a maximum of 2.5% of the total sample mass lower than sieve size 0.85 mm. Wholly or partly soluble in water. Hygroscopic. Bulk density: 1,100 - 1,250 kg/m3.
