Distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS)

Description

This cargo entry applies to Distillers Dried Grains with solubles having a moisture content of not more than 13% and oil content of not more than 11%. A yellowish brown-in-colour product with a cooked corn odour.  A dried blend of coarse grains and condensed distillers solubles that remains from the fermentation process of corn (the starch fraction) with yeast and enzymes to produce ethanol and carbon dioxide. Bulk density: 450 -520 kg/m3. Non-IMSBC Code information: used as animal feed. 

 

This cargo entry does NOT apply to wet distillers grain (WDG) and distillers dried grain (DDG) as they are not transported in bulk.
