VPS Bunker Alerts
Veritas Petroleum Services (VPS) publish regular Bunker Alerts based entirely on fuel samples and have kindly permitted BIMCO’s Members to access this information.
The Bunker Alerts are not intended to be an evaluation of overall bunker quality in the port or area concerned, but usually highlight a specific parameter within the fuel which has raised a quality issue.

BIMCO launches Ship Recycling Alliance to help fuel change

IMSBC Code Shipper Responsibility and Cargo Declaration Form
Shipper's responsibility under SOLAS, MARPOL and the IMSBC Code and obligation relating to the cargo declaration form. Be aware that a change occurs on 1 January 2025. Amendment (Amdt) 06-21 (2022 edition) will cease to be valid. Amendment 07-23 (2023 edition), which has been in voluntary application since 1 January 2024, will enter into mandatory force on 1 January 2025.
