This seminar is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of key changes and updates in the latest versions of the widely used BIMCO standard ship and crew management agreements, SHIPMAN, CREWMAN A and CREWMAN B.
SHIPMAN 2024 was published last year and includes important new provisions addressing emission trading scheme allowances, access to ship’s data through the managers’ information system and predelivery management services. Updated versions of CREWMAN A and B, which are based on SHIPMAN, were adopted on 4 March and the seminar will also go through the changes to these agreements.
The seminar will cover the background and purpose of the SHIPMAN and CREWMAN agreements, the significance of the 2024/2025 iterations, and an introduction to the new provisions and their impact on ship and crew management. It will also briefly introduce BIMCO’s new standard ship management agreement, AUTOSHIPMAN, specifically designed for remote-controlled and fully autonomous ships.
