Michael Lund, Deputy Secretary General at BIMCO, will join a panel at the CMA Shipping Conference 2025 to discuss Geopolitical Disruption: Agility, adaptability, and strategic planning.
Panel 1: Geo-political Disruption: Agility, adaptability and strategic planning
From military and economic warfare, political instability and polarization to climate change disasters and the accelerated insertion of tech and AI into all aspects of our life, it is increasingly obvious that to succeed, one must move fast, adjusting to fast-changing conditions, and with a clear direction – agility, adaptability and planning.
Shipping is not exempt by any means; in fact, the imperative is even greater.
With this in my mind, we are keen to hear the distinguished panel’s reflections on:
- What is keeping you up at night: key threats, horizon of change and degree of impact
- Doing business alongside the dark fleet - a look at sanctions and regulations and the impact on legitimate trade and sustainability
- New US Administration – implications for shipping and trade
