BIMCO has received comments concerning the arrival of a new breed of clauses seeking to shift risks traditionally falling within the charterers’ sphere onto the owners.
The draft of the revision is now ready for a first review by BIMCO’s Documentary Committee when it meets in April.
Personal Data Protection Clauses for SHIPMAN, CREWMAN, SUPPLYTIME and GUARDCON are available now. These are additional clauses that can be added to specific BIMCO contracts if parties need wording to cover personal data protection legislation.

BIMCO’s Documentary Committee adopted two new contracts and two clauses at its meeting on 29 November. The two clauses will be published immediately. The contracts will be published in early January.
