Further to our news of 11 July where we reported that Paris and Tokyo MoUs planned to jointly conduct a Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) on Safety of Navigation (CIC), they have now issued their questionaire for this CIC, together with their press release.
This inspection campaign, as usual, is for a period of three months, commencing on 1 September 2017 and will end on 30 November 2017. The CIC will focus on conformity of safety regulations for ships in accordance with SOLAS regulations, the overall status of the vessel’s navigation safety, and the competency of crew involved in navigation operations.
Members are to be guided accordingly.
