Demolition report dated 6 October 2017

Over the last few weeks, local steel plate prices have suffered near catastrophic declines in Turkey and to some extent China. This in turn seems to have had a knock on / negative effect on the sub-continent markets resulting in overall prices for ships gradually starting to decline below the historically impressive USD 400/LDT mark.

The weekly demolition report by GMS, provides an overview of the demolition market, price by scrap yard location and ship type.
