Early warning issued by New Zealand for Asian Gypsy Moth regulations

A new set of Asian Gypsy moth (AGM) regulations has been issued by the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI), New Zealand (NZ). Members entering or intending to enter NZ waters need to familiarise themselves of these new requirements.   ** ASIAN GYPSY MOTH IS NOW KNOWN AS FLIGHTED SPONGY MOTH COMPLEX ** Not all countries have introduced the new name yet, but BIMCO has decided to standardise on Flighted Spongy Moth Complex, abbreviated to FSMC.

Turkish Straits - new transit time implemented

The Turkish Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, has on 28 July 2017, amended the 'transit' rule in the Maritime Traffic Regulations for the Turkish Straits, from 48 hours to 168 hours.

Update on the Qatar situation
