A summary of the more significant amendments coming out from Amendment 41-22 to the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code for shipment of packaged goods at sea.

The IMDG Code entered into its 41st Amendment in 2022 and came into voluntary application on 1 January 2023

Amendment 41-22 (Amdt 41-22) will run concurrently with the mandatory IMDG Code Amdt 40-20 for this year 2023. Amdt 41-22 will enter into mandatory force on 1 January 2024 superseding Amdt 40-20.
