Following the recent launch of BIMCO’s Standard Mates’ Receipt form, we are hosting a joint webinar with FONASBA on the purpose, use and legal consequences and implications of completing the form.
Agenda:
- Introduction by Grant Hunter, BIMCO, on the background of the Mates’ Receipt revision process and the legal principles underpinning its use
- Presentation by Simone Carlini, FONASBA, on the practical use of the Receipt and the process of incorporating the information from the receipt into the bill of lading
- Follow up by Mark Brattman, ITIC, on the pitfalls of not completing the Receipt correctly and the effect on the bill of lading and subsequent cargo quantity/condition issues
- Q&A from the audience.
