Regulations governing the sea shipment of charcoal cargoes in packaged form under the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code have been revised recently in May 2024. The revisions were adopted at the 108th meeting of the Maritime Safety Committee (MSC) of the International Maritime Organization via MSC resolution MSC.556 (108), revising the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code through Amendment 42-24.
